     My name is Dr. Juleen Barnes. I am the founder of YAAASSS, a women empowerment brand. I have been a nurse a little over 19 years and worked in various clinical settings. I chose nursing because I wanted to help to heal patients not only physically, but also mentally. As much I enjoy my career, I realized that I was giving my all to my career and not taking care of myself personally. Meeting various women over the years, I found out that it is not only me, it is not only nurses, it is women in general that has a tendency to mimic this behavior. We do have responsibilities that we need to take care of. However, I believe it is important that we provide self-care to ourselves on a daily basis to balance our jobs and personal lives. I also believe that no one is perfect, but we can always strive to be the best version of ourselves.
